Acceptance

By signing up for or using the Renewal Awareness Service at `happyprotraining.com/compliance` (the "Service"), you agree to these terms.

What we provide

An informational awareness service that:

- Monitors publicly available NY DOS Security Guard license records

  • Sends you reminder notifications before listed expiration dates
  • Suggests renewal class options at Happy Pro Security Training

    What this Service is NOT

    This Service is not a compliance certification, audit, or legal

    • verification of your license status. Happy Pro Security Training:

    - Is not affiliated with the New York State Department of State (NY DOS)

  • Does not certify your compliance with NY State licensing laws
  • Does not replace the official NY DOS public roster as the
    • authoritative source for license information
  • Does not assume any duty to ensure your license remains active

    **You and your employer are solely responsible for maintaining compliance

    • with NY State Security Guard licensing requirements.** This Service is a convenience to help you remember renewal dates. The legal obligation to keep your license current remains with you and your employer, where the law places it.

    What we don't guarantee

    - Accuracy. Data is sourced from the NY DOS public roster. If their data is wrong, ours will be too. Always verify directly with NY DOS before making employment or staffing decisions.

  • Delivery. Email and SMS delivery is best-effort. We can't guarantee
    • inbox placement or carrier delivery.
  • Uptime. We aim for high reliability but make no SLA commitment.
  • Continuity. We may discontinue or change this Service at any time.

    Your obligations

    - Provide accurate information (your real name, real email, real

    • license ID)
  • Do not sign someone else up without their permission
  • Do not abuse the Service (signup spam, automated probing, scraping)
  • Continue to independently verify your own license status with NY DOS

    Limitation of liability

    THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS

    • OR IMPLIED. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HAPPY PRO SECURITY TRAINING SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO: LOST WAGES, MISSED RENEWAL DEADLINES, EMPLOYMENT IMPACTS, LICENSE LAPSE PENALTIES, REGULATORY FINES, OR LOST BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES.

    By using this Service, you acknowledge that Happy Pro Security Training does not represent NY DOS, does not certify compliance, and that you remain solely responsible for verifying and maintaining your own compliance with NY State licensing laws.

    Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to USD $50.

    NY DOS authority

    The official source of truth for your license is always the NY DOS public licensee search at appext20.dos.ny.gov/lcns_public/. Nothing displayed in this Service should be relied upon as the final word on license status.

    Changes

    We can change these terms. Material changes will be emailed to subscribers. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance.
